Chief Roberts wins Distinguished Chiefs Award from PCACT
DARYL ROBERTS CHIEF OF POLICE, CITY OF HARTFORD Daryl Roberts' leadership motto is "Service, Relationships, and Safety," and his accomplishments in three years as the city's police chief are evidence of that commitment. In 2008, crime in the city was the lowest in the department's history of the recorded statistics, and he continues to strive for improvement in all areas. He is planning to expand the successful truancy reduction program, the enforcement of quality of life issues, and the creation of a domestic violence response unit. His goal is a safe livable city. In the past year, Chief Roberts received the Distinguished Chiefs Award from the Police Commissioners Association of Connecticut, the 2008 Community Service Award of the Greater Hartford Urban League, and the 2008 Distinguished Gentleman Award of the Southern Connecticut Black Nurses Association, Inc. |
