PCACT Annual Clambake and Picnic
The PCAC Annual Clambake was a huge success. The event was held on August 24, 2011 at the beautiful Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven, supplying us with a wonderful view of the Long Island Sound, a sandy beach, terrific landscaped grounds and incredible food. In attendance were approximately 100 Commissioners, Police Chiefs, public officials, family and friends, and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman. The annual clambake is a great opportunity to “kick back and relax” with old friends and to make new friends and contacts from around the state. Anthony’s provided an incredible menu including a choice of steak or lobster, pasta, clam chowder, steamed muscles and clams, salads, pizza, different cheeses, wings, hot dogs and hamburgers, and Italian pastries for desert. Door prizes were given away through raffles that included a 50-50 raffle, and several baskets containing various items. Congratulations to retired Commissioner Dave Ahearn who won the 50-50, and to all the winners of the gift baskets. View the following photos of the event, and we hope you’ll consider attending next years clambake with family and friends, and that we’ll see all of you soon at one of our dinner meetings scheduled for this year. Clare and Betty voluntarily man the reception table as Chairman Jill Marcus stands by. Clare and Betty, although not “official” members of the PCAC, are always on hand to lend support and to assist in any way they can. Our thanks for all they do.
