PCAC November Meeting
| Police Commissioners Association of Connecticut Meeting November 3, 2010 Zandri’s Stillwater Inn Guest Speaker was Chief Joseph Faughnan, newly appointed Federal Marshall and long time supporter and friend of the PCAC. In July of 1991 he was appointed as Chief of Police for the Town of Clinton. In 1997 his peers elected him as President of the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association. He was also elected every year as the President of the Law Enforcement Council from 1996 to 2010. He repesented Connecticut for ten years as an elected member of the Board of Directors of the New England Association of Chiefs of Police. In June of 2010 he was nominated by President Barack Obama to be the U.S. Marshall for the District of Connecticut. Two months later he was confirmed by the U.S. Senate and, upon his retirement from Clinton, was sworn-in on August 25th, 2010. |
