Tour of the POST Academy, April 19, 2012

The POST Academy, in conjunction with the PCAC will host a tour of the POST Academy on April 19, 2012,

1:00PM until conclusion. POST Director and former Police Chief Thomas Flaherty will be our host and guide.

The tour will begin with a classroom orientation of the recruit curriculum followed by a short film produced

by one of the recent graduating classes. A walking tour of the academy will follow which will include the firing

range (weather permitting). During this part of the tour the attendees will observe actual training taking place,

meet with training personnel (when available) and visit the dormitory area. Director Flaherty will be available

to field any questions commissioners may have during our tour.

The PCAC would like to acknowledge and thank the POST Academy, and in particular Director Thomas Flaherty

for allowing the PCAC this opportunity.
